The guide

So what is PTC industry?

It's advertising business where the site pays for you watching the ads from advertisers. The biggest reason this business works in theory, is a simple idea: Win - Win situation. User and the site get credited from what they are doing. Site gets more money out from advertisers than it pays for it's users. Still most of the PTC sites will eventually become scam, due failure of site management, financial problems etc.

How can you than identify the "trustworthy" site?

1. The most simple way is to google the site name and try to look for positive comments regarding the site.
2. Lesser it pays, the more likely it's going to pay you.
3. The site simple enough to use (no bugs etc.)
4. There are no holes in their TOS (Terms of Service) which could give them reason to ban you before you can request payment.
5. Operating age of the site (how long has the site been there).

Never trust anything completely.

These are the simple rules that will keep you on track when choosing sites, which you will use in future. Also a good site to check for trustworthy PTC sites is: http://ptc-investigation.com/default.aspx

The admin tests multiple PTC sites and rank them. He also monitors the already reviewed sites and is continuously trying to keep his site up to date with recent changes regarding them. I am providing also my own list at the end of this guide, which contains 12 different trusty PTC sites. Most of these sites are also ranked in Elite List at PTC - investigation site. These sites are what I have tested personally and they can be trusted.

How much they pay for you?

This really depends on the site. Most of the sites pay around 0.001$ per advertisement up to 0.01$. They provide different numbers of ads as well, but most common ad quantity for each day is around four.

Is it worth it with these click rates?

Now we are in the core of the problem. This is why most of the PTC users fail to get any decent money out from the sites, because they don't promote the site and try to get referrals. They try to earn as clickers which makes you around 0.5$ per day from all sites (at least with the sites on my list).

Ref... what?

Referrals. Every PTC site provides you extra amount of money when you refer people to the site. This means you promote the site and get someone signed in with you as their referrer and earn money from what they do at the site. Every PTC site offers different clicks rates you earn from your referrals.

Example: You are the member of the site called Randombux and you have referred your friend to join under your name. You click the daily ads at Randombux: one 0.01$ ad and three 0.001$ ads and earn 0.013$ that day. Your friend also clicks the ads and earns the same amount of money as you did (0.013$). What he doesn’t earn is the referrers “bonus”. Let’s say that you get half of the clicks value as a reward for referral. That would be 0.005$ from the 0.01$ ad and 0.0005$ from the 0.001$ ad. So eventually you earned 0.013$ + 0.005$ + 3*0.0005$ = 0.0195$. Still not very much eh? Imagine this with 100 people you have referred. You will earn 100*0.0195$ = 0.195$ / day. Starting to get the picture now? The more you refer, the more you earn. Most sites provide even unlimited amount of direct referrals you can have.

NOTE: Most sites require you to click ads daily to get money out from your referrals.

Direct referrals? Are there some other referrals as well then?

Yes. Direct referrals are the guys you have referred via your referral link and are 100% sure to be real humans. Rented referrals are the referrals that some PTC sites offer. As the name stands you rent them with real money and they click you money (in theory). Speculations have been made that these rented referrals are bots and provide only money loss. I don't recommend using them, even though how tempting it sounds.

The site provides me membership for a payment what is this?

Almost every site offers you to get membership with different bonuses for what you are doing. It varies from site to site, but commonly it increases your maximum daily ad count or value of your clicks. The prices for these memberships are different for each site. I recommend buying them only when you are fully confident of the sites genuineness and have been paid multiple times before this. These provide you some extra money when compared to standard free membership and can multiple your income after you have gotten used to this business. Not recommended for starters and people with fewer amounts of referrals, you are going to only lose money if you don't fill these conditions.

Getting started:

Warnings: before you start it's good to check that your Anti-virus software and Firewall are up to date. Also think twice before giving out your personal information. When testing the sites use always an alias.

NOTE: Paypal/Alertpay name information has to match with the names you have given to the PTC sites or you might not get paid. As well the names with Paypal/Alertpay have to match with your credit card information or you won't get your money to your real bank account. See the dilemma?

Firstly you should use different browser than in your daily use. This is because you are going to bookmark the sites, save the password etc. in the memory of the browser. I recommend using
Firefox for this. Some sites dislike Google Chrome for unknown reason (maybe a boycott against google?).

After you have chosen your browser, it’s time to get a new e-mail address due to use of PTR (Paid to Read) emails some sites are providing. Don't use your daily e-mail address and
don't name the new e-mail address with your real name on it. Use alias! It's providing safety for your identity. I recommend using Gmail for this. It's easy to use and accepted by most PTC sites (for some reason they only seem hate the browser google made... I don't honestly know why…). Hotmail, for example, is banned by some sites due to auto e-mail answerer bot problems.

So you have chosen your Browser and created a new e-mail for now. Now it's time to sign in at the two different e-commerce providers:
Paypal and Alertpay. Why both you ask? The reason is because some sites use only one of these two options, while most use both of them.

*NOTE: Paypal and Alertpay require you to fill personal information. In order to transfer money to your real bank account, you need to validate your PayPal/AlertPay account first. This is usually done with credit card and the personal information must match the ones on your credit card. Read the instructions from corresponding sites.

Now you are ready to go. Choose the sites you want to register and follow their instructions. Keep clicking and get rewarded.

Clicking:

When you have registered at the site log in and start looking for "View adds" or "Earning area" or something like that. There you will find ads with some sort value placed on them.

Example: Randombux, Best PTC site ever - 0.001$ Click this ad and it will pop up in different tab in your browser. Some sites provide an interface that shows how long you have to stay on site to get paid. Mostly it's from 10 to 20 seconds. They also implement captcha and other mechanics to check that you are human. Enter the correct captcha or whatever the site asks and there should be a text: “Your account has been credited” or something similar. Close the tab now. I recommend opening as many sites as you can manage at the same time, and click ads from there. Because 10s - 20s is pretty long time to wait, you want to use your time effectively. You don't want to use more than 30min - 40min clicking the ads. That's it for a day. Some sites also give various tasks or offers to earn more money. Mostly these include signing up in the different site and clicking required amount of ads to get credited. Doing the 30min - 40min work each day can reward you with a decent income from the internet. Most fail at this, but I am one successor of doing this. The amount you earn from doing this is highly restricted with the amount of the people you refer.

Payment:

When you have reached the minimum amount required for cash out, it's time to get your money out from these sites. Look for cash out button and press it. Follow the instructions, since the sites pay on different delays. Some site might pay in 72h, other in two weeks. Don't panic. If you don't get your payment in the provided time, try to contacting the support or forum or whatever they have. Personally I have no experience of payment delays or problems. Just tells how trustworthy the sites I use are.

Traffic Exchange:

What is Traffic Exchange? To put it simply, there are sites which will give your site visitors depending on the amount you have surfed others sites via their site. This is good way to get new referrals, even though you have to be a bit lucky. Incentria and Clicksia provide you this with a 0.8 ratio. Even better site is the pure Traffic Exchange site Easyhits4u. It provides you Traffic Exchange with 1:2 or 1:1 ratio. Plus you get even paid every 1000th site you surf 0.30$ and for your every referral who have surfed at least 100 sites you will be rewarded with 0.10$. Pretty easy way to earn a little extra.
